The Portland Community Bowling Association's

Our 2010, 27th Anniversary Rose Bowl Classic has concluded.  Thank you for choosing Portland.  We jumped to 192 bowlers in 2010 thanks to all of you.  It is our goal to keep those numbers climbing.  We hope to return to the numbers we had in 2003 of over 300.

Special thanks to those who helped on this year's Rose Bowl Classic 27 committee.  Believe it or not, with this experienced team of volunteers, we again accomplished this year's Rose Bowl Classic with only one meeting, and only a handful of individuals: Terry Walton - raffle & Mega-Mini raffles; Cindy Farrester & Jason England, also for ticket sales; Troy Albin & Kayla Widdicombe - registration and computer scoring; Tom Lutes, Jr., Allen Rise, Stewart Harbert & Jim Gianakis - Registration party; Tom Geil - Advisor, banquet, awards, website, payouts, program & ad acquisition, name tags and new logo.

SPECIAL NOTE ON PAYOUTS:

6/2010- All payments (other than Saturday night's event) have been made online through Bank of America.  We are again monitoring the payouts this year and have even printed out a list of all payments made.  Checks were made by your total winnings by combining all events.  Each check should have had a memo attached indicating what the payment was for.  If you believe you were entitled to a check that was announced at the banquet that has not yet arrived please contact us immediately.  All checks are valid for only 60 days and then are invalidated by the Bank.  Contact us at PDXbowl@comcast.net for any discrepancies.  Checks are not forwardable.  If you have moved and did not provide us with an updated street address before we issued those checks, we are required to wait until the checks have been returned to the Bank, before they can be reissued.

Some Rule Changes for 2011.  Due to some payment processing problems for our 2010 tournament we are strengthening our rules on Registration Entry Forms.

1. From now, payment in full for the entire team will be required.  No team entry will be accepted without payment in full.

2. No payment will be accept after the May 1st deadline without it being date stamped for post mark.  The drop-dead date of May 15th will be strictly enforced.

3.  After May 1st, all payments must be by money order or cashiers checks.  No personal checks can be accepted.

Sorry for having to re-enforce these rules, but as you can expect, a few problems with a few bowlers can make it rough on everyone.
